About ABS Studio

Technology that works for everyday life.

ABS Studio is an independent software studio building a connected ecosystem of Android apps — productivity, utilities, media and learning — designed to be useful, private and beautifully simple.

Our story

Why ABS Studio exists.

We started with a simple belief: the apps you use every day should be fast, focused, and genuinely respect you — your time, your attention and your privacy.

So instead of building one app that tries to do everything, we build many that each do one thing well — and tie them together with a single ABS Account. Sign in once, and your apps and data stay in step across the whole ecosystem.

Today that's 13 Android apps spanning productivity, utilities, media and learning. Next come ABS Cloud, an ABS AI assistant, and smart devices — a watch, a band and more — so the same simple experience follows you everywhere.

From the founder

Meet Alakshit Pradhan.

Hi, my name is Alakshit Pradhan. My journey into technology started in 2019 when I was playing Clash of Clans. One day, my father asked me a simple question: “Why do you spend so much time playing games? Why don't you try making one instead?” That question completely changed the way I looked at technology.

At first, I thought game development would be as easy as playing games. However, when I started researching how games were actually made, I quickly realized how much work, creativity, and technical knowledge went into the process. Instead of discouraging me, that realization made me even more curious.

I began learning through YouTube and online resources. One of the first channels that inspired me was Brackeys, which played a major role in introducing me to game development. Around the same time, I started learning 3D modeling with Blender. I followed several creators and tutorials to improve my skills, including channels such as Imphenzia, whose Blender tutorials were incredibly helpful, along with many other Blender-focused educators who helped me understand the fundamentals of 3D design.

As I continued learning, I developed a strong interest in 3D animation as well. During the COVID-19 period, I decided to expand beyond game development and explore app development. To do that, I first focused on learning programming fundamentals. I spent considerable time understanding programming concepts, logic, problem-solving, and software development principles before moving into practical development.

Once I had a solid foundation, I started learning Android app development. Later, I expanded my skills into web development, learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for creating modern websites and user interfaces. To better understand backend development, I also learned PHP, which allowed me to build complete web applications. These technologies gradually became some of my strongest technical skills.

As my knowledge grew, I started thinking beyond technology itself and focused on a more important question: How can technology solve real-life problems? Instead of building software just for the sake of building it, I wanted to create products that could genuinely help people.

One idea I worked on was a comprehensive fitness application. My vision was to create an all-in-one platform where users could track their fitness journey, maintain meal logs, store and compare health reports over time, and manage their personal wellness data securely on their own devices. The goal was to make fitness management simpler, more organized, and more accessible for everyday users.

Another idea came from my interest in making knowledge more accessible. I noticed that many Hindu scriptures, epics, and educational resources were scattered across different sources and often presented in ways that could be difficult for modern audiences to navigate. I envisioned an application with a clean, ad-free, and user-friendly experience that would bring together important texts and stories such as the Ramayana and Mahabharata, presenting them in a structured and easy-to-understand format. My goal was to help readers of all ages explore and learn from these works more comfortably.

What makes this journey meaningful to me is that I started exploring all of these fields while I was still a student. Every skill I learned — from game development and 3D modeling to programming, app development, and web technologies — came from curiosity, self-learning, and a desire to create something valuable. Over time, I realized that technology is not just about writing code; it is about solving problems, improving experiences, and building products that can make a positive difference in people's lives.

Today, I continue to learn, build, and experiment with new ideas, always looking for ways to combine creativity and technology to create useful products for real people.
